Life Upon The Wicked Stage

June 13, 2012 by Steven Sparling Leave a Comment

Theatre of Dionysus

It looks like I am taking to the stage. Like a fish taking to water I am excited to be ‘on the boards’ once again. It’s all come up rather suddenly (like in the past three days) and we open in two weeks’ time. So I have a lot of learning of lines and blocking to do over the next 14 days.

There are times when you are in the white heat of the creative process and you’ve got to keep your eyes very steady on what you are doing. I’m about to enter one of those periods.

I hope you’ll be happy and bare with me because I may not have time to post to this blog for the next couple of weeks. If I can, I will pop in for some updates but if I go silent, I’m not abandoning you or creative entrepreneurship, but rather I’m off to do that thing that I love – to play upon the stage.

Be creative. Seek out ways to stay sane and make art. That’s all we can do.

Wish me luck and speak soon.

Steven
