Interview Series – Film Producer Patrick Sammon – The Power of Perseverance

August 9, 2014 by Steven Sparling Leave a Comment

Film producer Patrick Sammon joins me for the first of the Thriving Creative interview series.

Patrick is the Executive Producer of Codebreaker, the Alan Turing film, which I was fortunate enough to see at a private screening in London. When I got chatting with Patrick afterwards, what really impressed me was how inventive he was with thinking of distribution channels for the film. Check out the page on their website for their International Distribution plan, which shows a lot of lateral thinking at work in getting the film seen by an audience.

I think it’s a great lesson for us all about persevering with a project to ensure it gets the maximum exposure it deserves and you as the creator reap as many of the rewards as possible.

As a creative, I can think of a number of projects I’ve either started and never finished, or did finish but then never really capitalised on getting it seen and experienced in the world. Patrick is an inspiration for getting your work out there.
